About
Lepoussette Cafe covers personal injury and accident topics in plain English — the kind of questions people start asking in the days after something has gone wrong.
What we write about
Three strands run through the site:
- Slip and fall accidents. More than a million people a year need medical care after a slip or fall. We look at what actually causes them — wet and uneven surfaces, poor lighting, inadequate footwear — and at the injuries that follow, from bruises to broken bones.
- Work accidents. Your employer has a legal duty to protect your welfare, health and safety. We cover what that duty means in practice, and what happens when negligence causes harm.
- Industrial and maritime hazards. Houston’s waterways carry real economic weight and real risk. We look at the dangers that sit behind that industry.
How we approach it
Each article takes one situation and works through it properly: how the injury happens, who carries the duty of care, what evidence matters afterwards, and where people most often weaken their own position without meaning to.
What this site is not
This is an information site, not a law firm. Nothing here is legal advice, and reading it does not create any professional relationship. Injury law varies by state and the facts of your own case decide it — if you are weighing a claim, talk to a qualified attorney licensed where you live. These articles are here to help you ask better questions when you do.
